|The organization is associated with the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California. This aviation museum founded in 1957, houses static and flying aircraft, including a flying P-38 Lightning, a rarity in the historic aircraft world. This venue includes the P-38 Lightning "23 Skiddoo" and memorabilia associated with the 475th. The museum is located at the Chino Airport at 7000 Merrill Avenue #17, Chino, CA 91710. At a secure, climate controlled facility near the Planes of Fame, memorabilia not used for display is housed and is undergoing identification by 475th veterans and family members.||Another venue that houses 475th FGHF memorabilia is at the Museum of Flight, located in Seattle, Washington. The Museum of Flight is a private, non-profit air and space museum at the King County International Airport, just south of Seattle. The museum was founded in 1965 and the exhibit there includes a mockup of the P-38 Lightning and other memorabilia associated with the 475th. Interactive screens and other items of interest have been provided to enhance the exhibit for the public. The museum is located at 9404 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA 98108. Website is: www.museumofflight.org.||At the Air Force Academy located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, there is a bronze monument dedicated to the veterans of the 475th FG. (One of our 475th aces, Col. PJ Dahl, Retired was the commandant there for many years.) The 475th FG monument recognizes the sacrifices, deeds and remarkable character of the 475th FG veterans, part of the Greatest Generation that we are sadly losing at an accelerated rate. The United States Air Force Academy, a military academy for officer cadets of the USAF, is located immediately north of Colorado Springs in El Paso County, Colorado.
